Volkswagen has expanded its range with extra trim level and engine options for the T-Roc, Polo and Arteon model lines.

For the upcoming T-Roc, a new entry level model is now available to order. Named the T-Roc S, it’s powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine developing 113bhp and 201Nm of torque, coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox that is capable of taking the car from 0-60mph in 9.9 seconds. Fuel economy is claimed at 55.4mpg with CO2 emissions of 117g/km. Prices start at £18,950.

There’s also the addition of the T-Roc’s first diesel engine, available on SEL trim models. It’s a 2.0-litre unit, producing 148bhp and 340Nm of torque. Like the new petrol engine, it’s paired to a six-speed manual gearbox and fuel economy is claimed at 56.5mpg with 132g/km of CO2 emissions. Pricing starts from £28,345.

As for the Arteon, a new 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine has been added to the line-up, available with both a six-speed manual or a seven-speed automatic gearbox. It produces 148bhp and 250Nm of torque, capable of taking the Arteon from 0-60mph in 8.8 seconds and up to a top speed of 138mph. Fuel economy is a claimed 54.3mpg with CO2 emissions of 119g/km. The new engine is available on Elegance and R-Line models, priced from £31,005.

The new Polo is not available in the UK until January, but customers now have the choice of two more 1.0-litre petrol options. The first is a 74bhp, 95Nm of torque, five-speed manual option, with a claimed fuel economy of 60.1mpg and CO2 emissions of 108g/km and is priced from £15,060.

There’s also a 113bhp, with full performances figures yet to be confirmed, available on SEL models. It’s priced from £18,180.

All new additions to the Volkswagen range are now available to order, with T-Roc models arriving imminently, and the Polo set to launch in January 2018.
