In an unexpected move that took many by surprise, Porsche took the covers off the Mission E Cross Turismo concept at this year’s Geneva Motor Show.
A combination of the designs of the current Panamera Sport Turismo and the forthcoming Mission E all-electric sports car, the Cross Turismo boasts an increased ride height and chunky cladding to create an all-electric cross utility vehicle.
Fitted with an 800V electrical system, the Cross Turismo has 590bhp at its disposal meaning 0-60mph in 3.3 seconds. With a range of over 300 miles to boot, this concept can be charged up to 80 per cent in just 15 minutes when connected to a fast charging network.
Porsche added that this more rugged estate is compatible with conductive charging, meaning that it can be charged through a wireless connection.Save ,money on a new Porsche today
All-wheel steering is fitted to help with turning at slow speeds and stability at higher speeds, while the adaptive suspension can be raised to help travelling over rougher terrain. Active roll stabilisation also helps with stability when going quickly through corners.
Inside the Cross Turismo comes with four seats with the rear seats able to fold down, plenty of storage space and a widescreen TFT display – like the one found in the current Panamera range.
Porsche is yet to announce production dates or pricing for the Cross Turismo.
Although a production version is yet to be revealed, the Mission E sports car is expected to be seen in sales guise in 2019.
