MINI Scrappage scheme 2017

MINI Scrappage Scheme 2017: How much can you save?

MINI have recently launched their 2017 scrappage scheme, offering incentives up to £2,000 when trading in your old diesel car. Interested in finding out how the MINI Scrappage Scheme works? Read our in-depth guide to find out more.

With the government’s plan to take higher emitting vehicles off the country’s roads, car manufacturers are launching incentives to get money off new, cleaner vehicles when you trade in your old car.

MINI is one such brand and with its Lower Emissions Allowance, you can get up to £2,000 off a new car, with the Hatch, Convertible, Clubman and Countryman models all available in the deal. Customers can only trade in diesel vehicles that are of Euro 4 emissions standards or older, and the vehicle must have been owned for 12 months or longer.

What is the MINI Scrappage Scheme?

MINI’s Lower Emissions Allowance offers £2,000 reductions to the Hatch, Convertible, Clubman and Countryman models – including the Seven special edition in the Hatch – when owners of older, dirtier vehicles trade in their diesel cars built under Euro 4 emissions standards, i.e. before January 1, 2010.

Vehicles on offer will be included in the deal, so you could save even more money when trading in your old diesel vehicle. All those on offer emit less than 130g/km CO2 to ensure new vehicles going onto the road keep their emissions down.

The MINI Scrappage Scheme offers excellent contributions of up to £2,000 towards any new MINI model with CO2 emissions below 130g/km.
