Mini has revealed updates for the Mini Hatch three-door, five-door and Convertible models, including new engines and features.

The most obvious change has been to the exterior lighting, with Mini adding optional Matrix LED headlights with adaptive high beam at the front and LED rear lights, which include a patriotic Union Jack design.

Under the bonnet, the BMW-owned brand has altered the engines on offer by reducing their emissions to comply with the tightening emission regulations and increasing fuel efficiency. Mini has added a base engine for the Mini One First – a 74bhp 1.5-litre petrol engine that can get you from 0-60mph in 12.6 seconds and is the most efficient petrol on offer at 56.5mpg.

It has also altered the diesel engines to make the turbos more efficient and so they can produce more torque.

Mini has also added two new transmissions – a seven-speed double-clutch Steptronic transmission with steering wheel-mounted paddles for the Cooper S models and an eight-speed Steptronic transmission.
