Lexus is adding a new trim level to its large hybrid crossover the RX 450h.
Called Sport, it adds a further dynamic edge to the angular SUV with darker detailing and premium accessories – and sits in the middle of the RX’s trim line-up.
Many of the exterior detailing is finished in black, including the spindle grille, wing mirror housings and 20-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, which are complimented by chrome detailing to add a further premium feel. LED headlights and an automatic high beam function are also fitted
Not only does the exterior come with high-end options, the interior gets some of Lexus’s best features such as leather and fabric upholstery, a nine- or 12-speaker sound system, or the choice of an eight- or 12-inch infotainment display.
The Safety System+ is also a standard feature, which includes driver assistance and safety accessories to ensure your security on the road. This is in tandem with the car scoring five stars on the Euro NCAP safety tests.
Full specification will be revealed closer to the trim’s release date in early 2018, which is when customers will be able to put their name down.
The current RX is the fourth generation and is solely fitted with a petrol-electric hybrid that produces 308bhp, paired to an all-wheel drive system and a CVT transmission.
